Devices that can play Kopen TV

Bring the screen you enjoy using. Compatibility depends on the exact device, its system, an available player and the login format supplied for your account. Explore six device families, then follow their setup notes. Installing an app and playing several programmes at once are separate questions.

How compatibility works

Your subscription provides access details. A compatible player app displays channels, guide data and the on-demand library where supported. Check your exact model and app before choosing a term; these are device-family notes, not a claim that every model has been tested.

MODEL CHECK FIRST

Smart TVs

Start with the exact model, system and regional app store on your Samsung, LG or other smart TV. Confirm a player that accepts the supplied login format before ordering.

  • Search your TV’s app store for a player that supports IPTV logins (Xtream Codes or M3U). What is offered depends on the TV’s system, model year and country.
  • Some TV players are tied to the TV itself and ask you to activate them with a device code or MAC address, sometimes for a fee charged by the app maker.
  • Older TVs may have fewer suitable apps. A compatible streaming device is another option, but confirm its model and player before buying equipment.

Fire TV, Android TV & Google TV

A suitable streaming stick or box connects to a compatible TV. Check its operating system, official app store and supported player rather than relying on the family name alone.

  • Install a player from the device’s official app store where possible.
  • Use a power supply that came with the device and place the stick where Wi-Fi is strong — or use a wired adapter.
  • Remote-friendly players make long channel lists easier to browse.

MODEL CHECK FIRST

Apple TV, iPhone & iPad

Check the App Store on your particular Apple TV, iPhone or iPad for a player that supports the supplied Xtream login or M3U playlist.

  • Check the app’s description for the sign-in methods it supports before buying any in-app upgrade.
  • A listing for iPhone does not establish Apple TV support. Check the supported devices and any separate licence for each screen.

Android phones & tablets

Check Google Play on your own phone or tablet for a compatible player, including its supported Android version and accepted login formats.

  • Mobile data use can be high for live TV; Wi-Fi is the safer default.
  • A phone that is playing counts as a connection, just like a TV.

Windows & Mac computers

A compatible desktop player may accept the supplied login details or M3U network playlist. Check its supported Windows or macOS version and guide features.

  • A desktop player with a TV guide is easier for live TV than a general media player.
  • If playback differs between rooms, compare the connection near the viewing device before changing the player or plan.

Other set-top boxes

Some IPTV set-top boxes use a portal address and the box’s MAC address instead of a username and password.

  • Ask IPTV Services support with your box model before buying — Kopen TV has not confirmed portal-style activation for every box.

Device support and simultaneous viewing are separate

Device support is about whether a player app runs on your hardware. Connections are about how many streams can play at the same moment — between 1 and 5 on Kopen TV plans.

Setting up the app on more devices does not use connections. Playing does. Trying to play on more screens at once than your plan allows typically fails on the extra screen, and players often report it as a connection-limit error.

Compare the full total for your connection count.

Examples

Devices with the appConnections needed
TV app + phone app, one person1
Two TVs and a tablet; the TVs are often on together2
Three TVs, a laptop and two phones; up to three screens at once3

Five checks before you buy

  1. 1Is a player available for my exact model?

Search the device’s official app store for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U sign-in.

  2. 2Does that player cost anything?

Some players charge for activation or premium features. That fee goes to the app maker and is not part of a Kopen TV plan.

  3. 3Is the connection to that room steady?

Check near the viewing device at your normal viewing time. Compare a wired connection where practical and note whether a problem affects one source or several.

  4. 4How many screens will play at the same time?

That number, not the number of devices, is your connection count.

  5. 5Have I tried it on this device?

The 24-hour trial request (no credit card) is a useful way to check your own setup, subject to availability confirmed by support.
